Episode #285 is UP!!!

23 Mar 2012

What’s up, Bawls?  Podcast #285 is UP!!! Is that LaRon?

In our latest episode, we talk about the Pro Days at Baylor and Stanford, i.e., the Pro Days for Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin the 3rd.  Seriously, both look like Specimens, but we think the general consensus is that RGIII is the guy for Shanny’s Offense.

We also talk more about Free Agency, as in, why haven’t we re-signed London?  We don’t even mention LaRon Landry, probably because he’s too stupid to actually have the surgery that he needs to continue playing in the NFL at any kind of competitive level, and the fact that all he knows how to do now is Pick Things Up and Put Them Down.  We extrapolate upon Dicktator Goodell’s Soon-To-Be Regretable $36 million dollar hit on the Redskins salary cap for doing nothing wrong (the Owner’s Meeting is next week), and we ponder why The Danny, The Shanny and Allen the Bruce decided to spend the night before RGIII’s Pro Day at the local Hooters in Waco…

ENJOY!!!! -John

Podcast #284 is UP!!!

13 Mar 2012

This aggresion will not stand, man...

Yo yo yo, after a bit of a layoff during the Taint of the Offseason, we suddenly had to get our act together and talk about all the shit that’s been going down over the last week.  And shit has definitely been going down…

Goodell, this aggression will not stand, man...

In this week’s episode, we talk about the MASSIVE trade for the #2 pick in the draft, and how the DICK-tator, Roger Goodell, has suddenly decided that we broke some fake rule that didn’t exist and he’s going to take away $36 MILLION DOLLARS of our salary cap space -I guarantee that The Danny, and The Jerry in Dallass (who’s out $10 million), are meeting about their options in regards to this, there’s no way they’re going to lie down and take this without a fight, especially since they didn’t break ANY rules.

In any event, we also talk about the first couple of signings in Free Agency (our new, young receiver corps) and who we still need to sign (Safeties, O-Linemen), LaRon Landry’s addiction to working out and how it’s going to end his career (Hello, David Boston anyone?), and Aaron Neville makes a quick guest appearance because, well, he loves Harry Hog Football.

Enjoy.

Andrew Luck. Highlights

03 Mar 2012

If John has his way, and the Colts share my minority belief that RG3 is a better QB…and the Skins trade up, this could be our guy…

Kind of looks like John, don't you think?

Anyway, here are some highlights:

The case for QB

29 Feb 2012

As I said on the podcast, I am pretty impressed with RG3. I think he could be A great QB. I will not pretend that I watched his games at Baylor. All of my knowledge of his play comes from watching you tube videos. I know that most of us are slackers so I invite you all to watch these videos here at the bottom of this post and comment what you like or dislike about him. In the upcoming days, I will do similar posts regarding Luck and the next wave of QBs the Redskins may be interested in picking up.– Aaron

Ned’s Party Chili for the Superbowl!

06 Feb 2010

Some Like it Hot! Gotta have the Bloemer's though!

Anybody that’s been listening to the Podcast for a few years knows that Aaron and John have called me “Ned” for as long as I can remember.  Well, a few years ago, Aaron introduced me to this refrigerated Chili starter called “Bloemers” – I’m pretty sure it is a small Mom & Pop outfit out of Louisville, KY - but they make the BEST starter for Chili I have ever had.  I call this recipe “Ned’s Party Chili.”  While my chili recipes continue to evolve, I now order Bloemer’s online in quantities of 10 – and always start with the base recipe I am posting here!  Feel free to make it your own – I’ve tried adding various exotic peppers (I like it HOOOOTTTT!!), and I love it served over spaghetti with mounds of cheese!  Maybe next year, you can serve at your SB Party as we watch the Redskins go for a fourth Lombardi Trophy! Enjoy!
