Torain might be a steal if he keeps developing, but Keilland Williams definitely outplayed him this preseason. We also like that they have three O-Linemen to work with. Rob Jackson keeps hanging on. Austin got better each game, we’ll see if he sticks.

Yo yo yo, dudes we are gearing up for Harry Hog Football Podcast #222, but until then, here’s a few notes on the Washington Redskins:

-Malcolm Kelly re-injured his hammy on Monday. This hamstring has been injured since his freshman year at O…..klahoma (where the wind comes sweeping down the plain…). Expect either the IR for him, or…CUT!!! (John says, “I called it.”)

-Speaking of injuries, Donovan McNabb may or may not play against Dallass. I think Allen The Bruce and The Shanny are overplaying it a bit, but we’ve already talked about how McNabb has never played a complete 16-game season. You can thank Lar-REE Johnson for that ankle injury, McNabb. Good thing The Cowpats are overrated again this season, but what else is new. Even if we have Grossman in, we have a good shot to win this game.

-The Redskins traded 6th rounder Dennis Morris to St. Louis for a conditional draft pick. The Rams also sent Hall Davis, a Linebacker/D. End, to The Redskins for…a conditional draft pick. Basically both teams will get something depending on how the dude plays for them, and probably nothing, or a 7th rounder, if he gets CUT!. Shanahan already said that Morris wasn’t going to make the team, so if we get anything for him than we’re getting something for nothing. And our chicks for free. Money for nothing…and our chicks for free…we got to in-stall microwave ovens….

-First CUTS! are pending…we’ll post them as soon as the word is out…anyone else think Devin Thomas is in trouble?

-Last Preseason Game is Thursday night at 10 Freaking O’Clock. Take a nap. Or Tevo it, seriously, it’s gonna be all scrubs. Sometimes I hate the NFL…

Podcast #222 will be fresh out of the oven soon…stay tuned…..

In this week’s episode, we give our take on the preseason Battle Of The Beltway versus The Ravens, including our Game Balls and Kick In The Balls Awards (Larry Johnson…CUT!!!). We also cranked up The Injury Report for the 2010 season (Hello, Rex Grossman), covered the latest roster moves, and talked about what a bi-atch Albert Haynesworth is. Seriously, just shut up and play!

By the way, apparently a lot of us were wondering why they played Hail To The Redskins after a Ravens touchdown – Harry Hog Football has answers. We also talk about a rule change that could have a major impact in a game this season, who we think will make the CUT! at Wide Receiver, and why it’s a bad idea to get in a car with Trent Williams, Fred Davis, or Malcolm Kelly behind the wheel. No, they were not driving drunk Bruce.

I thought Shanahan looked a bit surprised during the post-game presser that his team had played so well in its first preseason game of the year. Let’s just hope none of them run into Walter or The Dude while they’re rolling and enjoying some caucasians and oat sodas.

The creaky old bus started off slow, but once its engine warmed up The Washington Redskins were clicking on all cylinders. Yeah, it was preseason, but make no mistake: This is not Jim Zorn’s team from the last two seasons.

The Offense looked like it knew the gameplan and played with a purpose rather than kinda milling about and being unsure of what the plays being called into the huddle were. The Defense took a bit to adjust to game speed in the new 3-4 scheme, but once they got that first series over with (giving up a field goal), they were stout and started to look more and more like they were ‘getting it’. We now have a Punt Returner. We now have a Quarterback. Portis was playing like he cared again. Trent ‘Silverback’ Williams showed why they took him over Okung. Again, last night’s 42-17 victory doesn’t mean that Lombardy Trophy #4 is already on its way, but you got the feeling that we’re a lot closer than we’ve been in a long time.

I am PUMPED for the next podcast! Hail!
